We made an offer on 5632 Peace Ave. Braselton through our agent. The seller countered through his agent, Dwight Joy. We accepted the counter and signed all paperwork required and proceeded as if we had a deal. Mr. Joy contacted our agent the next day informing us they had decided to reject our offer and accept a more lucrative offer. This more lucrative offer obviously came in after our acceptance of their counter was made. Horrible ethics and I would caution everyone considering doing business with this agent!
Lisa Parkins is a really knowledgeable agent. She helped us buy a house in Cumming that had been rehabbed. The sellers (the agent was one of the sellers) tried to cheat us at every turn but Lisa held them to what they promised in the contract. The seller got nasty at the closing but Lisa still didn't back down and just kept quoting the contract. The attorney had to step in, and backed up that Lisa was right and we were able to close without paying fees that they tried to sneak in on us. The sellers are still causing us problems by not providing the warranties, but the county is helping us with most of that.
Where do I begin?! First off, let me say how unprofessional Lisa Parkins and her husband are.With the way they treat people, I don't understand how they still have continual business. They are rude, they are disrespectful, and above all else, they are money hungry. Do yourself a favor, and take your business elsewhere.
Andrea Balanta was our realtor and we absolutely loved her. As this was our first home buying experience, she stood by us the entire time and worked her butt off for us. She was always available to any issues or questions we had any time day or night. The communication was wonderful and she explained every process effectively. I hope she is still around for our next home buying experience.
The worse home buying experience ever. Buyers beware. Please make sure you look for an agent whom will be there throughout your entire process, not just to sign the contract and when it's time for closing. Be sure to get an agent who is willing to verbally communicate with you during normal hours instead of one whom only texts, promises to sends emails and never calls. Be sure to get an agent whom is going to have time for you and not treat you like you are a bother and not a priority. Make sure to find a broker who stands behind their company and does not call you from private numbers to address your concerns. Make sure to choose a broker who will notify you if the agent on your contract no longer works for them. Buyer beware!!!
