It's okay. Ersatz elegance on the flowage. Never waste your breath asking for a late checkout...they always say no. Quiet setting, friendly staff. Don't order nachos at Bullfrogs. They had "cheese sauce" not cheese and were very soggy.... Something I'd expect at a stadium. Large outdoor pool. Well kept grounds.
Also, I wanted to do some work on my laptop but could not find an available outlet near the desk area! I had to disconnect the phone so I could plug in! Even $80 dollar rooms at cheap motels have extra outlets.
Please address the above issues! This really should not be occuring at a high-end lodge.
This is a beautiful place. The rooms are lovely, beds are super comfortable. My bed held me hostage my first night. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is great. The scenery is so serene. This place recharged my battery.
Besides that, everything else was fantastic. Excellent customer service.
For a room that costs $400 (it was the Legacy Villa suite) I was expecting a cleaner tub and better smelling sheets! There was a very noticeable ring around the tub. I had to clean it a bit so I could enjoy it without being grossed out. One pillow smelled dirty. The quality of the sheets was also rough.
This a an absolutely gorgeous place, lots of great photo opportunities. I recently spent 3 days here in 2 different conference rooms and for some reason no one from the lodge could get the heat to come on. Our class spent 3 days bundled up in our coats and blankets trying to stay warm. Otherwise it was very nice place.
Everything that I expected and more. Beautiful setting, elegant yet unpretentious. The Friday night seafood buffet was worth the money. The water park was well thought out. We were pampered from the word go. Do yourself a favor and book a stay soon.
