Cool place. Visited when it was closed for a spartan race. Would love to come back when it's open. Beautiful!!
They have turned this into more of a fair with carnival rides. It gives more to do for the visitors but it just doesn't seem like Christmas. Id rather see more Christmas shows and more lights than carnival.
Extremely fun time at Lanier Islands. Great slide rides, wave pool, and beach. My 20 month old son had a blast and it was full of great memories! I don't know if I like the fast pass idea or not. It seemed that if it was a busy day with a lot of fast pass people you wouldn't get to get on the slides because of the fast pass people. We went on a medium busy day and it was great though. about a half hour wait for the big rides.
This place is a good escape from the common areas of water parks. It's good when you have vertically challenged kids. They can ride almost all the water rides that are there. It's also good for the wave pools and the beach on the other side. Plan for an exhausting day of walking, burning feet and fun.
Have been out here twice for Races - 1 Tri and 1 Fun run 5k. Both times we had a great experience. Would love to return to experience the Lanier world attractions.
